On Sunday 10 friends and I completed the Stirling Triathlon. What a day it was too. It was an early start. We all had to be up at 4.30am to get there for registration at 6am. Heidi, Anna and I entered the Sprint Triathlon (750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run). Lesley, Caroline, Karen, Vicky, Ashley, Kate, Gillian & Thomas where in the Novice Triathlon (400m swim, 14km cycle, 2.5km run) and we were all so nervous. The transition area looked scary enough with everyone laying there kit out in preparation. Everyone looked so professional. I'm glad it started early as I don't think I would have coped otherwise. None of us had ever done anything like this before and it was so amazing to complete it all together. I would totally recommend having a go at a Triathlon. It's hard work training for it and fitting it all in but I enjoyed going out on the bike and swimming more. I learned so much along the way. Here are some pictures of our day. The total STAR of the day was Lesley who came in 2nd women in the Novice Triathlon and it was her 1st time competing!
