My Pots

This year for the first time ever I decided to have a go at planting some bulbs and I have to say I have loved seeing them grow and they make me smile every time I look out my kitchen window. It's just that added bit of colour on a gloomy day. It also lets you know that spring is finally here. I am sounding so old.

The Hyacinths looked so lovely and green and contrasted beautifully with the blue flowers. They smell divine too. My only sadness was that they did not last long enough.

The Daffodils were tiny and they lasted a long time. They looked lovely with the blue of the Hyacinths.

The crocuses had a lovely purple hue and the grass with them had a white stripe through the middle which looked stark against the green leaf. The colours in nature are just so fab.

All in all, I would TOTALLY recommend planting some bulbs. I planted mine in November 2015 and I planted them in layers. The bottom layer is made up of tulip bulbs and the higher layer's daffodils and crocuses, therefore I have things flowering at different times. Its a gift that keeps on giving and it literally took me one in afternoon in November. I brought all my bulbs from Ardardan Estate and they also stock my cards.
