At the beginning of this year I decided to start a creative group which I called Gather & Blether. It is a place for local creatives to get together and chat. Most of us work alone and this gives us an opportunity to bring local creative entrepreneurs (and aspiring entrepreneurs) together to spark new friendships and build a community where we can support each other as we grow our businesses.
This month our Gather & Blether meeting was held up at the Mackintosh Club in Helensburgh. It is a perfect venue for us all to get together and talk. The atmosphere is tranquil and calm and the light through the glass roof is amazingly uplifting. When you live in Helensburgh you know how essential light is. Mackintosh knew this of course and the buildings in built glass roof is a testament to this.
This week in the Mackintosh club there was a Japanese Kimono Exhibition. With lots of beautiful vintage Kimono's hanging everywhere along with amazing delicate fans with the most intricate art work on them.
There were lots of new faces at this month's meeting which is fab. I love the fact that every month I am always inspired by how many talented and amazing women there are living in such a small area. A big thank you to Nicola for letting us use such a great venue.
