MND - Awareness Week 2016

It was Father's Day yesterday but my own Dad is no longer here. I totally believe he is always with me but he died at the age of 52 to Motor Neurone Disease on the 3rd of June 2003. I was 27 when he died and it changed my world completely.

What is Motor Neurone Disease (MND)?

Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.

International MND Awareness Day takes place on 21st June. It gives people affected by MND and MND charities across the world an opportunity to raise awareness of the illness and highlight its impact on those affected.

Over this week {20th-26th of June} I will be giving 25% of your order to MND Scotland in the hope that one day we will find a cure.
